Despite, the ongoing war for years with the neighbouring nations, the empire flourished with economic and peaceful prosperity under his reign, with the assistance of the four powerful aristocrats family in the empire that are almost equivalent to the Imperial family.

The Duke of Gavania, Adam Gavania rules the duchy ferociously akin to his ancestors who domain the duchy for centuries after the Vandenberg rules the empire, the duchy are mainly involved in the government politics, helping the Emperor in ruling the nation.

While the Marquis of Anglesey, Arthur Anglesey domain mostly in business in the empire.

Meanwhile, the Duke of Votara, the family of mage and the Empress maternal family, eminent for their contribution of mages to help the empire for hundreds of years and alongside build the Tower of Magic for the those who are gifted in magic.

Lastly, the most powerful and mysterious of all the four aristocratic family, the Duke of Sheraton, a duchy in the northern part of the empire, domain by the Sheratons family for centuries even before the Vandenberg came into power. The Sheratons are even more cruel and ruthless than the Gavanias. The duchy is currently rule over by the enigmatic young duke since he was 18 years old. He is well known as the villain in the capital for his cruel personality.

The empire at the moment is stupefied by the spread of the plague in the small town, moreover in the territory of the Duke of Sheraton, which frightened the people of the empire, especially the nobles. They urgently urged the Emperor to stop the disease before its reach the capital.

The Empire hasn plague with any deadly disease since the Vandenberg ruled, which make the people believed that its the retribution of God for the Duke of Sheraton evils deeds.

The small town Devon was obstruct by the knights and soldiers at the entrance gate, after the Duke of Sheraton has officially forbid people to entered the town. Subsequently, for almost a week now, the town was struck with an unknown deadly disease that it shook the whole Suran Empire.

This unknown disease has plague the whole town brutally, that majority of the people in the town totally lost their lives.

Emperor Elrod has provide the town with healers and witches and instruct the Duke of Sheraton to aid the town, since the town is under the Sheraton dukedom.

However the disease has thoroughly spread throughout the town, therefore when the healers arrived, it was already late to treat them. The healers are utterly incapable to cure all of the people in town, especially the one which are in critical condition, therefore they could only heal the ones which are in isolation.

Moreover, they couldn find the source of how this outbreak came into and started to spread the whole town. Therefore, they could only separate the infected ones, while the others with hasn been infected was place in quarantine in Dunwich village outside the town.
