y the previous generation, something unique to magic architects.
It’s not strange that this child doesn’t know about it.
A magic architect is an occupation that doesn’t exist anywhere else.

”I already know that you came to this island, but since when? Just making this fortress and wall means you came quite a long time ago, right? You spoke about magic, but can you use magic that makes you invisible to the surroundings?”

Various questions came from Eph, but nothing came to mind.

”It’s not something I particularly hid, so I didn’t put together any recognition inhibition technique.”
”But I was completely unaware of it…”
 ”U~m, right.
I guess we’ve been on this island for about ten days… but the wall was built in about three days, and the fortress was built in about two.”
”Hah? Wa-, wait, what? You’re saying that this wall and fortress was constructed by you, in merely five days?”
”Yes, but, isn’t that not a big deal compared to the dwarves?”
”It’s a big deal! That isn’t common sense!”

Eph retorted by scolding back in an agitated tone.
 Huh? But…

”Even dwarves can make anything in three days, can’t they? That’s what I thought…” (Wirk)
”That’s obviously just a superstition! I’d like to know where these rumours came from in the first place!”

Apparently, it seems dwarves can’t make whatever in just three days.

”In that case, what can you make in three days?”
 ”Things like swords or armours.
But now they keep saying “failure, failure”, so they haven’t actually made anything in thirty years, let alone three days.”

Th-, thirty years? That’s some excessive patience you’re talking about.
Dwarves have longer lifespans so their grasp of time might differ from people, but that’s why three days is normal.

”As for me, I’m curious as to how you built the wall and fortress so quickly.”
”That’s what I was talking about.
Normally you make magic heavy machinery and magic tools.”
”No, in the first place, I don’t even know what magic heavy machinery and magic tools are…”

 So it’s from there, huh.
Then I guess it’ll be faster to just show her.
That’s why I went out to the front of the building and took a look around.
Since it’s nighttime, I turned on the light.

 ”Wai-, what the heeeeeeeeell!” (Eph)

 Then she got absurdly surprised.

”Did that surprise you that much?”
”Yes, I’m surprised! What’s this incomprehensible tool! Why does this big thing move by itself!”
”It doesn’t move by itself, I’m kind of operating it.”

I operate the magic excavator by pulling a lever.

”That’s not what I mean… I’m going to ask just in case, but isn’t there a horse or something inside?”
 ”Pfft-”

O-, oops, she hit the mark.
A horse inside, I’ve, I’ve never thought of that.

”Wh-, what are you laughing at!”

Eph yelled at me, her face bright-red.

 ”Sorry, sorry.
But I didn’t put in a horse.
You can think of it as being powered by magic, just like a magic tool.”

I gave Eph a simple explanation.
Well, that’s the general gist of it.

 ”Right.
But that’s outrageous.
And this blast furnace is also amazing.
We don’t have this at our place.”

Huh? This isn’t a blast furnace?

”No, it’s called a magic reverberatory furnace, but don’t you have a reverberatory furnace?”
 ”Nope.
Papa is using something far different… I know!”

Then Eph had an expression as though she just had an idea.

”Hey guys, come over to my place! Then show these amazing tools to Papa!”

 Eph made such a proposition.
Huh? In other words, to meet the Dwarven King? U-m, some strange talk just came out.
I’m certainly interested in the dwarves, but…
