Chapter 50: A Mutual Understanding

Liu Dezhu sat on the ground in shock.
Looking at the agile Chen Yuandong equipped with powerful mechanical limbs in front of him, he felt a strong sense of security emerging from his heart. 

In fact, Liu Dezhu hadn’t got so many mechanical limbs so far.

The mechanical parts of Chen Yuandong’s body obviously looked different from others.

Compared to Prison 18, this was more like the cyber limbs people of the Outer World thought that should have existed.

Seeing that Liu Dezhu didn’t speak, Chen Yuandong turned to the black SUV.
As he walked, a dark red blade flipped out from his arm, and with a single swing of his hand, the car was split in half.

As if it was a candle that touched a hot knife, the metal parts of the car turned red and melted away.

From behind, a few more black SUVs came up, and Lu Yuan hopped down from one of them, “Boss, you are right on the spot.
They indeed decided to attack here.

Chen Yuandong looked at the four unconscious men in the van and nodded toward Lu Yuan, “Liu Wenqin, Xin Qiuze, Cui Qing, and Huang Yueyu.
They are all on our list.
Looks like Liu Wenqin must have gotten them together.
Disassemble and bring back all of their mechanical limbs.
Call the tow truck as well, be quick.
”

As this leader of the Kun Lun group said so, he seemed to have known these people very well and could precisely tell who was the mastermind.

“Boss, you are so wise.
This morning when you heard that they disappeared from Wu City, you knew immediately that they would be coming for Liu Dezhu,” said Liu Dezhu, “But these people are so ruthless.

Blindly expanding should never be Kun Lun’s goal.

In reality, just like what Qing Chen thought, when important time travelers like Liu Dezhu appeared, Kun Lun’s absence was severely abnormal.

At least they would appear to check upon him.

But Kun Lun didn’t do that this time.

“Well,” Chen Yuandong looked at Liu Dezhu and said, “Don’t be scared, we are here to protect you tonight.
We will tightly monitor all suspicious entries into the country, and if another problem arises, we will be back to protect you around the clock.  ”

Liu Dezhu said hurriedly, “Thank you! ”

Chen Yuandong nodded, “Don’t worry, you should be more careful yourself.
If you found anyone suspicious, remember to call us with the number we gave you earlier.
”

Then, Chen Yuandong got back onto an SUV without even turning back.

Then, the tow truck and police cars came to clean up the scene.

Staring at the back of the SUV leaving, Liu Dezhu thought, they just left?!

They didn’t ask him to join their group.
But why?

In the car, Chen Yuandong suddenly asked Lu Yuan, “Don’t you feel like this is a bit odd? ”

“What do you mean by that, boss?” asked Lu Yuan.

“This student was nothing special.
Not even alert knowing that he’s already attracting large amounts of attention.
Why would Li Shutong choose a person like this?” Chen Yuandong said, feeling a little confused.

“Maybe Li Shutong didn’t want to pass his methods to anyone after all?” Lu Yuan asked carefully.

“No, according to Jian Sheng, even a superhuman was serving this mysterious time traveler, meaning that he must have gotten the approval from Li Shutong.” Chen Yuandong shook his head, “I suspect that there’s another time traveler in Prison 18, but that’s different from the information we know as of now.

Chen Yuandong lowered his windows and lit a cigarette, “He’s not qualified enough.

At 10 o’clock that night, Qing Chen was training by himself in his room.

Without the limitations in the prison, he was able to get an extra hour of training into his daily routine. 

But the difference was that in the prison, he had to eat as much beef and eggs as he wanted a day.

But now that he was back in the Outer World… He couldn’t afford that anymore.

Now, the gold that he brought back from the Inner World was hidden under his bed, and he suddenly felt the desperate need to turn the gold into cash, or else he couldn’t even feed himself until the next time he transmigrated. 

As he was sweating from the exercises, someone knocked on his door. 

He went to open the door and saw that Li Tongyun was holding a plate of fried dumplings.
Qing Chen could even smell the chives and eggs inside.

Li Tongyun said cutely, “Brother Qing Chen, my mom just fried them, and she wants me to share some with you.

“Thank you,” said Qing Chen, gladly accepting it.

As Li Tongyun was about to go upstairs, Qing Chen asked, “You are very smart, aren’t you? You know what I mean by that.

“Proof?” asked Qing Chen as he smiled.

Li Tongyun said with a low voice, “Because when Mom beat Dad up that night, you brought me into the room and peeked at Kun Lun, so you know them and are hiding from them.
”

Qing Chen smiled.
After knowing that Li Tongyun was not as simple as he thought she was, he knew that he couldn’t hide much from this girl any longer.
The details already exposed him.

He wasn’t an idiot either, just that he never realized that this little girl, who grew up in a harsh family environment much like his, already matured early with an observant mind. 

Who would be suspicious of a little kid without a proper reason?

But now that he knew the girl’s identity in the Inner World, it would be hard for her to find him.

Now, things are getting interesting. 

The two of them looked at each other and grinned as if they reached some type of agreement, a mutual understanding.
