Okay, now Im a bit pissed off.

At first, I thought that this staircase is only a staircase, so I climb it, I know for sure that Im on Santos island, and there is not a single doubt about that.

And I remember that in the book is said that Kamishs gate is a huge staircase, and at the end of the stairs is Santos academy.

Then why I still don see an end?

Its not a matter of a couple of hours anymore, has already passed many and many hours, in fact, I don even know how much time passed since I started to climb it.

The higher I climb the more I feel like Im not getting anywhere.

The top of the stairs is overshadowed by a dense fog, so I can see anything.

With each step, I take it seems more and more distant to the end of it.

The book never mentioned much about the gate of Kamish, the only information I had is that is a giant staircase, and in if you climb to the end you will see a gate connect to Santos.

Zack never get to this point of Santos, he never needed it, so the information I have is only a phrase that this staircase is mentioned in the book.

Which is nothing much, seeing that I seem stuck in an infinite stair.

Perhaps…

Is this an illusion?

Thinking about that possibility I quickly took an action.

God Eyes

A skill that permits me to see the flow of everything, the flow of the air, the flow of aura, the flow of mana, and the flow of emotions.

Its a skill that is passed down in my family, in other words, a Legacy.

This world is governed by the strong, and the strong will remain strong due to the fact that they passed down their skills and techniques to their families.

So in theory a son will be more powerful than their father.

A skill that is passed down in a family is called Legacy.

God Eyes is a Legacy skill thats its been passed down to me.

Activating my skill God Eyes I was able to see the enchantments that constitute the stairs.

As soon I notice them I channeled some mana into my hand, and with my finger I altered the chants, making the illusion fade away.

The illusion gradually disappeared, and when it did, I was not on the stairs anymore, I find myself in a strange place.

Its a dark room, with a giant window that shows a castle, in that castle, there is a huge flag, and I recognize that flag.

A flag with a book, and around the book there is a dragon, and the dragon with its wing embraces the book as if its protecting it.

Santos Flag, that means that I reach the academy.

So where Im exactly?

I can see the academy from where I am, but its like I am in a different space, as if Im watching Santos from a tv.

”So you
e the one that climbed the stairs ? ” a calm and dark voice said.

Turning back to see who it was I got surprised.

The first thing I saw when I turned was two big eyes staring at me, two bestial yellow eyes.

His breath made my hair sway with the air, and his red and scaly skin look ominous.

I could his two legs being hidden by his two giant wings that covered most of his body.

Hes down looking straight at me.

My body is not even bigger than his eyes, and that only makes this even scary.

”Kamish, ” I said realizing who it was.

A long time ago, some years before Santos came to exist, there was a big Rift, one of the biggest Rifts that humanity has ever seen.

The Calleds failed to close that Rift, allowing the monsters to enter our world, one of these monsters was Kamish.

A single and Giant red Dragon, so big that when it flew the entire continent lost its light.

He destroyed countries and killed numerous lives, but he was killed by a group of heroes.

Santos first headmaster revive Kamish and sealed the creature around Santos territory, and with many tries, he was able to make Kamish obey his orders.

The first headmaster only made one order to Kamish, he made the Dragon protect Santos forever.

The humanitys most dangerous beast, the creature who almost wiped out the entire continent.

Kamish, the red dragon.

”So you know who I am ” the dragon answered amused

”Everyone knows who you are ”

”Really? I don know much of the exterior world, I rarely leave this space ” Kamish sounds…

Lonely

”Anyway, you came here to take my test to enter Santos, right ? ”

”Thats right ”

Kamish test.

There are two ways to enter Santos, taking the exams, taking the exams is the easiest way, but there is another way.

Taking Kamish test.

Kamish gained a new authority since he has been protecting Santos for soo much time, and he can conduct a test for the students.

This test is usually only taken by students of Santos, someone who already entered and been for some time in the academy.

But through the generations of Santoss students, sometimes appeared a genius, someone special, and Kamish always makes these people take his test.

”Not too long ago I meet someone who took this test, ” Kamish says.

And of course, hes referring to…

”Zack Faust ”

”You know him ? ”

”Kind of ”

Well, I could say that in this entire world there is no one would know Zack better than me.

But I don really know him, we never meet.

”I don usually give this test to random persons, but you were able to undo the staircase illusion ”

”So thats a yes ? ”

He took a while to answer.

”I will permit you to take my test ”

Thank god, if he refused I would get into a lot of problems.

”Then lets start ” when he said that his eyes glowed yellow.

I could feel that with his eyes he could see my entire being, from my soul to my thoughts, it was a really creepy feeling.

”Noah Castrus, ▪▪▪▪▪, The Forgotten, hohoho, you are an interesting one ”

Wait what did he say?

He said my name and title, but I couldn hear the second phrase.

When he said the second phrase an interfering sound invaded my hearing.

”Prepare yourself ”

”Wait—- ”

Before I could say anything my sight darkened.

I only Kamish saying something before I totally pass out.

”You shall face yourself, thats your test ”

And then, everything became dark.

The sound of pen writing could be heard in a bright room, the room has an office table with a big number of stacked papers, and seated in front of the table is a man.

The man is analyzing and signing the papers at a slow and tiring pace, he finishes one and there are another thousand to sign.

Its a never-ending job.

The tired mans name is Elias.

Elias Salles is just an old man with a boring job.

”You should get a little rest, ” a voice said to Elias.

”I need to finish this ” the man signing the papers said pointing at the stacked papers.

”You wouldn have so much work if you didn procrastinate so much ”

”Shut up Vincent ”

Vincent Alpheus, hes Eliass friend and adviser.

”You know that Im right—- ”

Vincent was interrupted when both of them felt strong energy coming from the external area.

Its a hot, dense, and profound energy.

”Thats what I think it is ? ” Vincent asks

Elias didn answer, instead, he run to the rooms balcony and stared at the energy direction.

”Its Kamish, ” Elias says to himself.

Not much time after Elias realize whose the energy was, the energy dissipated.

”Don tell me ” Vincent says without finishing, if what he thinks is really happening, it will be a huge occurrence.

”Yes, it is ” Elias confirms for Vincent.

”I will contain the repercussions for now, but youll have to deal with what comes out of it ”

”Go, reassure everyone, I will deal with ”

Both of them disappear, Elias goes to where Kamish is, while Vincent goes in the opposite direction.

”Theres no way, in all Santoss history never had two in the same generation ”

Elias goes with his max speed, worried about what is about to happen.
