Lizzy’s Diary

On Wednesday evening I was with my cousin heading to church for communion service. My cousin was around 14years old at the time, her school was closer to our house, she stopped by ones a while on her way home.

We were walking down to the junction to get a bike, we were almost at the junction, when I heard the car horn behind us. I turned around to check if we were in the way, cause I could not imagine what the horn was for.

I recognized the car. It NGPs car. The champagne gold Range Rover I saw him with yesterday.

Youve got to be kidding me right now. What now??? because I know we are not in your way, what was he horning for? Why do I keep running into him every time, It like everywhere I turned hes there. This is getting really creepy, because I have no idea whats hes going to do next.

I knew he hate me, and I was so tired of this fighting already, especially with the fact that he was the only one enjoying the fight.

I really messed up with someone bigger than me this time. I swear.

To my surprise, the car stopped beside us.

”Hey!!! He said. ”Can I give you a ride? ”

Like I said, you never know whats his going to do next.

I whirled back to see if hes talking to someone else, but my cousin and I were the only ones close to him, and it obvious he was talking to me.

”Like seriously? ” I asked surprisingly.

”Aren you going towards Adedayo? ” he asked.

”Yes, I am. Im just surprised. ” I said confused.

He smiled and said. ”Just get in. ”

”Look am not looking for no trouble this evening, so please…..

”Nor am I looking for trouble, just get in the car, theres a car behind me. ”

I sent him a look, then turned to the other side, opened the back door for my cousin, and sat in the front. The he drove off.

”Have I been forgiven? ” He looked at me slightly and turned his face back to the wheels.

I blinked In confusion. Really!!! Is that some kind of apology or something? It not even a greeting. Whats happen to Hi, how are you.

That what I wanted to say, but I was just really tired of fighting with him already. I smiled then look at him and said;

”Nothing to forgive, you are stupid and I was childish. We are both to blame. ”

A really cute smile curved out from the corner of his lips. He has a really cute smile, by looking him up close, it like watching butterflies coming out of calcium. I got lost for a second before I quickly adjust myself so he doesn notice me staring at his lips.

”But you clearly mad at me. I mean you told the Kay. ”

Thank God he said something otherwise i would have lost in my imagination.

I looked at him with blushing written all over my face. My cheeks must be turning red right about now. Why am I blushing?

”It was the day you and your friends picked a fight with me at the bar. I was upset and he asked me what happen, so I told him. ”

Sorry was written all over his face, but he did not say it out. I could see apology in eyes when I mentioned the bar fight.

His eyes were really beautiful. I tried not to look directly into them, even tho everything in my body wanted to. Every part of my body started to act by themselves without my order. My hand was brushing back my hair, my entire body was facing his direction, Id already rested my back on the door, my eyes has started fixing themselves on him, and my mind was thinking;

Is this real, is this really happening, like me and Mr NGP sitting in the same car, and hes laughing to what am saying? Not the wicked kind of laugh tho, but a genuine one. I have to admit, hes really looking so gorgeous to me right now. He look like a Prince. I wonder where he came fro…. I got interrupted.

”Where are you heading anyway? he asked ”

”Church, Wednesday service. ”

”Im heading to the Kays myself. ”

I smug and he looked at me, our eyes lock together. Ive been trying to avoid this eye contact stuff since I enter into the car. You know that funny feeling in my stomach I told you about, well… it back. I slowly turn my face away and said,

”Get me a bag, as an apology gift. ”

”Does that mean my apology is accepted? ”

”I don recall you apologize Or did I miss that? ”

”You have a sharp tongue. ”

”And you are arrogant. I think we are even. ”

A smug grin curled around his lips again. As he pulled up the car at the junction inside the fueling station.

”Thank you so much for the ride, I really appreciate it. ”

I truly did, because if it wasn for him, I would still be at my house junction waiting for bike. Getting bike outside that estate could be sometimes hard, almost everyone has a car.

”You welcome ” he said with a smile on his face. ”I will like to call you, can I have your number? ” Our eyes lock together again, this time he smiled and just pieced my eyes with his and it was hard to look away.

I thought he was not going to ask for my number, I opened my purse took out my business card and gave it to him. I could have just type my number on his phone, but I was already late for service and I wanted him to know I have a job or maybe it because I just got my business card.

”What your name? ” He asked without looking at the card.

”Funny weve know and hated each other for a while now and we don know each other name. That interesting. My name is Elizabeth. What your name? ”

”Im Alexander Lawson, My friends call me Alex. ”

I smile and said ”Cool. I will see you around Alex.

That was very interesting, consider Ive always said he look like a Prince, and his name is Alex. My imaginary prince boyfriend name was Alex.

”Alright I will call you. ”

I closed the car door and opened the back door for my cousin, I waved at him as he drove off.

I moved to the bike pack and took a bike from there, my cousin sat at the middle while i was at the back. My bike drove by his car. I really wanted to look back, but I knew he will be looking as well, so I did not.

I still can figure out what happened in that car. Id never felt that way when am around anyone before. I realize I don care about my look or what I was wearing, but I do care about what I was saying, if am saying the right things. I was trying not to mess things up.

What really funny was that I was even checking myself in the mirror if I was smiling right. I mean, whats wrong me????
