“Good, good morning, Dad……” said Gu Xi to Gu Shao before keeping her head lowered and not daring to look up at him again.

“What’s the matter?” asked Gu Shao again.

“Oh, nothing.” Gu Xi shook her head violently and gave a guilty smile.
“I’m just here to say good morning to you.”

She couldn’t possibly tell him that she worried that Gu Shao would have forgotten that it was the Art Festival today and left for his office.
That was the reason she was here to ambush him.

Gu Shao, too, curved his lips slightly and said, “Good morning.”

“!” Gu Xi’s eyes widened when she heard that.
If her memories served her right, she said “good morning” and “good evening” to Gu Shao multiple times a day and this seemed to be the first time he had responded back with a “good morning.”

Gu Shao find Gu Xi’s stunned look comical.
He rubbed her over her head and said, “Hurry up and get ready.
Aren’t we heading to your school?”

Gu Xi walked into her room before she turned, hung into the door frame, pointed at Gu Shao’s necktie, and said, “The dress that I got has the same pattern.”

Back inside her room, Gu Xi changed into her dress that had the same pattern as Gu Shao’s necktie and wrapped her hair into a bun above her head seriously before putting on her head string that also had the same pattern.

It was perfect!
