Chapter 125 – “Boss! Are you actually reading the school forum?!” (3)

On the other side, Gu Chenyi returned to his own class with a shocked-and-leave-me-alone­look.

All the way until he heard something about “Xi”, Gu Chenyi popped right back up, jumped up from his seat and walked over.

“What about Xi are you talking about?” asked Gu Chenyi.

“Oh, we are talking about voting for the student representative.
Goddess Xi is participating.”

“Gu Xi?”

“Yeah.” The others nodded and grumbled.
“She has quite some votes too.”’

“Nonsense.
Just think.
The outcome of yesterday’s joint competition was shocking.
Besides, Goddess Xi is quite pretty on top of that.”

“Yeah, with her looks, at least top 5.”

“I say top 3.”

Gu Chenyi’s eyes lit up when he heard that.
He quickly pulled out his phone and clicked open the voting page in the forum.

When Gu Chenyi’s classmates sitting around him returned to the classroom, they saw Gu Chenyi holding his cellphone and was very focused.

“Boss, I thought we are going to have a quick round before class.
Where have you been?” asked the ones walking into the classroom as they walked up to Gu Chenyi.

They had agreed to come to school early so they could play a round in the morning but everybody else was there when Gu Chenyi was nowhere to be seen.

“What are you looking at, Boss?” The others stuck their heads over curiously.

They felt for sure that their boss was watching something “educational” judging by the way he looked but, to their surprise, they saw that Gu Chenyi was looking at the school forum.

“Oh shoot, Boss.
Am I seeing what I am seeing? You are on the school forum?!” The others exclaimed.

Gu Chenyi was the type who was never on the school forum and definitely would not care about something like the student representative for the Art Festival.
Now not only was he on the forum, he was looking at the voting section.

“Boss, are you for realz going to vote?” asked one of them.

Gu Chenyi rolled his eyes.
“Of course.
Why wouldn’t I?”

“Didn’t you say these braindead voting was stupid?”

“When did I say that?”

The others, “……” Just last year.

Many in the school were drumming up votes for Gu XueEr last year, including a few fanboys and fangirls in their class.

Lo and behold, Gu Chenyi straight up said to their faces that, “What is this braindead voting thing? That’s so stupid! No, I am not voting.”

Ever since then, nobody else dare to bug with something so “stupid”.

It had only been a year and now he was backpaddling on what he had said himself?

They would love to ask Gu Chenyi right now, “Boss, is your face hurting?”

“Alright.
Stop with the grumbling already.
You have your phones on you, right? Hurry up and vote,” said Gu Chenyi.

The others were taken aback.
“Who are we voting for?”

“You have to ask? Gu Xi, of course.”

“Gu Xi?” The others recalled they have heard from others that Gu Chenyi went with Gu Xi to the competition and they seemed to be close.
They immediately have interesting looks on them.

“Boss, what is your relationship with Goddess Xi?” Someone couldn't help but asked in a gossipy way.

Not only did he vote for Gu Xi; he was even drumming up for votes for her!

“[Big] Bro….” -ther and [little] sister was all.

Half way through what he was going to stay, Gu Chenyi stopped himself.
He looked to be in a struggle.

“[Big] sister and [little] brother is all……” grumbled Gu Chenyi quickly.

So quick that those next to him did not catch what he had said.

“Hah? What is your relationship again?”

“One way or another, Gu Xi is part of my family,” said Gu Chenyi.
Then, turning toward the others, “Hurry up.
Less talking and more voting.”

After making sure that they had voted for Gu Xi, Gu Chenyi quickly added the link onto his friend's circle along with the line: [Vote for Gu Xi.
