EMPEROR CONSORT AND THE DUKE : SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE (BL)

Hearing Bariss words, he wanted to confide in his friends. However, he couldn trouble them with his situation.

During last two months, he spent all his time in his room. He was concentrating on his project all the time. Except visiting library and having breakfast with his family, he never stepped out of his room.

He even had all his meals inside the room. Viviana visited him from time to time. Whenever she visited him, he was too busy to even hold a small conversation.

Caius worked on his graduation project tirelessly. He didn have any time to wander his mind here and there. He thought it was for the best.

He had already adjusted his mood after working days and night.

He smiled shyly and said, ” I must have been too tensed…. so I didn pay attention to the notice. Otherwise, I would rather remain a child…..sometimes the thought of being adult scares me. ”

Baris and Clair knew Caius very well. He always accepted the flow of nature without any complain. Suddenly telling that he was afraid of being adult, it felt strangely strange. He had tons of plans after graduation. But looking at him they thought something was definitely wrong.

Caius changed the topic blatantly, ”Who is coming for your graduation ceremony? ”

Clair looked suspiciously at Caius. However, he still answered, ”Well Burt is going to come. My parents are too busy. They possibly won have time to be here for my matters anyway. ”

Baris looked a little bit sad, ”Well no one is coming. My parents are also busy. ”

Clair turned sideways and looked directly at Baris. He looked confused, ”Isn Farica coming? ”

Baris face was slowly turning black. He said in a low voice, ”Maybe she is busy….she won be able to come….. ”

Clair was about to say something..

Clair really couldn read the room. Caius hurriedly asked Clair , ” When are you getting married? ”

After hearing the word marriage, Clairs face started to turn pink. He soon forgot about questioning Baris and said in a low but excited voice.

”Well, we will get married as soon as I turn twenty. Burt has already started planning everything. We will probably get married around this winter. I am nervous and excited at same time….I really don know how to feel. But now I think about, he really didn propose me. He just informed me. Wait it doesn sound good, does it? Well I guess it really doesn matter. After all, it was bound to happen. We had already decided to get married. But still he should have proposed, right?… ”

Caius was really amazed how Clair could talk non-stop when it came to Blair. He was still going on and on.

All of the students in the hall were starting to stand in their designated position.

Caius looked around and said, ”You two should join your classmates. I guess ceremony is about to start. Lets meet after the ceremony. We should head to banquet hall together. ”

Clair and Baris waved at Caius and left. Caiuss classmates also called him to join them.

The ceremony was too long. It was getting boring.

After the ceremony was over, all the students started to leaved the hall.

When Caius left the hall, he met Clair and Baris at the exit gate.

Burt was also standing in right side of Clair. Clairs face was brighter than when he got his graduation certificate.

Caius laughed inwardly. He seemed a little silly. However, when Clair was around Burt, he seemed to be glowing. Its too bright.

Burt smiled. ”It has been a long time since we last met. ”

Caius reciprocated the smile. ”Indeed ”

All of them were heading to the banquet hall.

”Caiu… ” Someone called Caius.

It was Viviana. Caius seemed a little surprised.

”Aren you supposed to be in duty? ” Caius asked in doubt.

”Well I too a day off to visit you. I did great, right? ” Her face seemed like she was asking Caius to praise her.

Caius laughed. ”Well, its really great that you are here. ”

Five of them headed to the banquet hall together.

When they reached there, the hall was already crowded with students and their parents.

All those nobles were dressed luxuriously while students were still in their uniform.

Many tables were filled with different delicacies. They were too eye pleasing. The hall was decorated in light colours. The decoration was also eye pleasing but not too overwhelming.

All of the people present there were starting to enjoy the banquet. Some were enjoying the delicacies in front of them. Some were dancing. The music was also light and pleasing.

Burt took Clairs hand and headed towards the dance floor.

Three of them didn really want to dance.

A girl came to Caius. ”Would you like to dance a song with me? ”

Polite Caius was once again unable to refuse and said in soft voice. ”It will be my pleasure. ”

Baris and Viviana looked at each other awkwardly. Viviana broke the silence first and said, ”Well we should also dance one song at the very least. What do you say? ”

Baris smiled. ”We totally should. ”

After one song, Baris, Vivana and Caius gathered together. Clair and Burt were still dancing. Three of them suddenly felt tired when they looked at the dancing couple.

They didn have any energy to stay near the dancing floor. They decided to enjoy delicacies.

Caius was intently choosing which macaroon to eat. He was unable to choose between chocolate and strawberry flavoured.

At last, he chose both of them. All the food in his plates were sweet tasting.

When he was about to head to explore more sweets, he saw Theodore. He was surrounded by many girls and boys. He was always the centre of attraction. His face was…clearly showing that he wasn interested in being there.

Caius thought. Well, I guess it really is too tiring to be surrounded by people everywhere you go.

He continued to look around for more sweets.

When he was busy filling his plate, someone approached him. When that person stopped right by his side, all the people present there seemed a little shocked.

They all started to whisper. Caius turned his head upward. He wasn too pleased to see that person..rather his face looked too unhappy…
