As I get to the schools compound, I feel like everyone is seeing the shame written all over me. Not to mention the change in my walking style. I am extremely swore. I feel as if I have been cut by a thousand little knives down there. Is this how one is supposed to feel when they have s*x for the first time?

Its awful! I feel the bundle of money inside my pocket, and a tear drops just thinking that I took the payment of what this bastard did to me.

”Hey Calista where did you run off to last night? ” Janes concerned voice takes me out of my mind for a short while. I didn even know that I have already reached our room. I just look at her and a well of tears bursts through my eyes.

”Hey whats wrong? ” she asks taking me in her arms. I cry my heart out on her shoulders, shaking frantically.

”I was raped, Jane. ” I finally break the news after I calm down. I explain everything from how it started, leaving the business card and money out of the equation. I see Jane shaking her head as if she doesn believe me.

”Are you sure, Calista. I mean you said yourself that you were completely drank then how would you know that you were raped? You said you liked the guy, which means you consented, and maybe you forgot. ” I can believe her right now. How can she take that bastards side just like that? Doesn she even know me? She is my friend, she is supposed to be on my side.

”You don believe me, Jane. ” I ask just to make sure.

”Sorry Calista but I don , who would want to **** a girl like you? ” she says getting off bed and continuing to pack her clothes in a suitcase.

”What do you mean by that, Jane? ” I ask in an annoyed tone.

”Nothing Calista, I need to go home now, my boyfriend is waiting for me. See you next year. ” She smiles awkwardly before exiting the room, leaving me all alone in the room. Is she mad at me or something? I haven done anything to her, I have been a good friend all along. Is that why she didn even call me last night, even after seeing that I was missing? And Parker, he claimed to love me, but he didn even show any concern for me. All of them are hypocrites. I am sure they made Jane the way she is. I finish my parking a head home. Our home is some hours away from school, so I have a long journey.

”Are you okay Calista, you have been sick ever since you came back from school. I told you to go to the hospital, and you don pay heed to my concern. ” My mothers voice shouts from outside my room. I think its the shock I had when that guy took advantage of me. I have never been the same since that day. ”Get out of the room, Calista, I will take you to the clinic. ” My mum says in her always commanding voice. I am sure if I don get out of the room this minute, there will be chaos. I get off bed, but immediately I step down, a nausea spell strikes me, making me rush past my mother and out to the compound to puke. What is happening to me, I must have a serious case of malaria because I have never been this sick before.

”Are you pregnant? ” my mother asks the moment I get back to the house, making me flinch in fear. Pregnant? No way.

”No mother. ” I answer her, though my heart is beating so fast. What will I do when I turn out to be pregnant? My parents are trying their best to put me through school and my siblings are depending on me too. I was supposed to finish school, find a job and help my parents in paying school fees for my siblings.

I cross my fingers literally on my way to the village clinic. My mother is furious already, and my negative results are the ones that will calm her down. After waiting some minutes, the nurse comes out with a piece of paper in her hands, and by the expression on her face, it isn good news. She hands the results to my mother, she opens them immediately, and she shoots her eyes wide open, letting the paper fall on the ground. Tears start streaming down my face at the realization.

What am I going to do now? He ruined my life completely. Without a word, my mother walks away from me and towards our house. I am not sure what to say, so I walk behind her quietly. I wish that she could have shouted at me, but she is so calm and quiet. What is running on her mind?

She gets to my room the moment we get home and comes out with my bag full of clothes, she throws the bag outside. ”Follow your bag outside, Calista. ” She says sternly.

”Please forgive me, mother. I am so sorry. ” I beg, kneeling before her. ”Where will I go, mother. ”? I ask confused, not knowing what to do.

”Go to the person that you opened yours legs to. I will not stay with you in my house, I wouldn have you bring me shame in here, alright. How could you Calista, you see how your father and I are busting our asses off just for you kids to have a perfect life and get out of this filthy village? Is this how you repay us, Calista? ” My mother says, breaking down. I stand to comfort her, but she pushes me away, making me fall to the floor.

”Go away Calista, you disgraced my family and my efforts. Go before your father and siblings come back. I don want them to find you here. I don want to, Calista, take your bag and go now. ” She commands.

”Mother, please, I am sorry. ” I beg her on my knees again. She stands up, wipes her tears and grabs me by my arm and tosses me outside, locking the door behind her. I am left with no other option but to pick my bag off the floor and walk away.

The only person who comes to my mind is Jane now, she is the only one that can help me. At least, I still have the bunch of notes. I didn use even a single sent, I will use it to go and see Jane.

I take out my phone and call her, she takes a while to answer me.

”Hello Jane. ” I start the conversation.

”Hey Cali, its been a while, are you alright? ” she asks in a concerned tone.

”Not that much Jane, I wanted to come to your house, I need to see you. Its urgent. ” I say.

”Oh s**t, I am not even home right now. We went camping with Sarah and the others. ” She says.

”You didn even invite me, Jane. ” I feel so betrayed. She is treating me like a stranger. I know my parents wouldn have agreed, but at least she could have informed me.

”Sorry, Calista, you know how Sarah is. ” She says feigning innocence. ”See you in school next semester, Calista. Be safe. ” And with that, she hangs up.

Where do I go now, she was the only person I could count on. Why did Wesley do this to me, I was innocent, I was just attracted to him? He didn have to act like an animal. He ruined my life.

The only thing now is to find him.
